Our famous Black Owls have always been popular among our customers who wish to make a bold statement. Now they are even better than before! To meet our clientele's high standards and tastes, we lengthened the temples, allowing the curved shafts to rest more comfortably upon the ears. The temple change was suggested via customer feed back, so the frame would fit most any size head. The stainless-steel spring hinges provide more flexibility and a secure fit on faces of various sizes. Made from glossy black Zyl, these striking, circle shaped frames transmit a distinctive image because the temples are joined to the sides of the frame at the middle--not at the top like most glasses.

The total width across the front of these fine frames is 129 mm, and the temples are 145 mm. With an eye diameter of 46 mm, they are designed to fit on both ladies and gentlemen.

Black Owls were first requested by fashion conscious customers who saw them in trend-setting movies and on television. Although these top quality frames are today's sizzling style, in actuality, men and women of fine taste have been wearing them for years. Clarence Darrow and J. P. Morgan favored Black Owls. In Hollywood, Spencer Tracy, Humphrey Bogart, George Burns and many actresses wore them when negotiating their contracts with the major studios because, like a magic spell, when you put on a pair of Black Owls, you convey an image of strength, patience and wisdom.
