While vacationing in Asia, one of our designers happened upon a marketplace where a local craftsman was selling metal birdcages. Lovely as these items were, what fascinated him most were the innovative hinges on the doors of the cages. The thin metal wire of the cage wound around the door like a beautiful serpent, without a screw, clip or fastener to hold it in place. The simplicity of the design, combined with the beauty of the tightly coiled metal, inspired the hinges on our new Trios.
